Garden Opera Thursday 9th February 2006
Rossini - La Cenerentola Performed in a brand-new
translation by Olivier Award-winning librettist Amanda Holden, we can
look forward to a laughter-filled evening as Rossini’s
fizzing score follows Cinderella on her journey from rags-to-riches,
besting her buffoonish father and deliciously malicious sisters on the
way.

Adam Summerhayes (Violin, Chris Grist (Cello), Eddie Hession (Accordion)
This concert takes place thanks to the generous sponsorship of

brilliance of Eastern European gypsy fiddle music with the hot-bloodied
passion of Argentinian Tango. Their performance includes ‘Nuevo
Tango’ masterpieces by Astor Piazolla and music from the golden
era of Tango, alongside addictive traditional melodies and dazzling virtuoso
fiddling. The band’s own material, inspired by both gypsy and tango,
is lightly spiced with a host of influences, including bluegrass, calypso,
